** I could not be more excited to share this review and giveaway with all of you fabulous readers out there!  This is a series that quickly became one of my favorites, and one where I am always eagerly awaiting each and every new installment to hit the shelves.  Enjoy the early review and don't forget to enter the giveaway below for your chance to win your own copy of this latest installment in the Hourglass series as well as some pretty cool swag!

The stakes have risen even higher in this third book in the Hourglass series.

The Hourglass is a secret organization focused on the study of manipulating time, and its members — many of them teenagers -have uncanny abilities to make time work for them in mysterious ways. Inherent in these powers is a responsibility to take great care, because altering one small moment can have devastating consequences for the past, present, and future. But some time travelers are not exactly honorable, and sometimes unsavory deals must be struck to maintain order.

With the Infinityglass (central to understanding and harnessing the time gene) at large, the hunt is on to find it before someone else does. But the Hourglass has an advantage. Lily, who has the ability to locate anything lost, has determined that the Infinityglass isn't an object. It's a person. And the Hourglass must find him or her first. But where do you start searching for the very key to time when every second could be the last?

I know this was a long time coming, but to actually realize that this would be McEntire's final installment in her Hourglass series, was a hard pill to swallow.  This has been, and still is one of my favorite series that I've been following for a while.  I love the way McEntire writes, the characters she's created and the whole premise behind the Hourglass society was nothing but non-stop fun and excitement.

With each new installment including the latest and final book readers won't find themselves bored, or wishing for more depth or characters additions, because McEntire doesn't let that happen.  Each book gives readers new POVs and voices to get acquainted with, and a new couple to focus on.  With each of the new voices, readers get a front row seat to all the action.  Every time I pick up a series and fall in love with the opener, I wonder and question whether or not the author will be able to keep up the level of excitement and adventure with each additional installment.  McEntire put my mind at ease each and every time, because somewhow she was able to keep things rolling, and introducing new obstacles, characters, and drama with ease.

So with all final installments in a series, this one was bittersweet.  I loved each turn of the page, but found myself sad to see the pages dwindling, knowing I was coming to the end and reluctant to cross that finish line.  I'd love to see more of these characters and this world in the future, but I'd also welcome checking out anything else McEntire puts out on the shelves.  She's got a knack for engaging her readers and keeping them wanting to come back for more and more each and every time.

  1. I'm going to miss this series. I love the way she writes time travel. It's not usually something I enjoy reading about but Myra does a fantastic job with it.

I also adore all the characters.
